About

CW_PhotoI am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-S) in private practice and board approved clinical supervisor. My Masters in Social Work is from the University of Texas at Austin and I completed a certificate in Advanced Clinical Practice from New York University. I am also an adjunct associate professor in the clinical graduate program at the University of Texas Steve Hicks School of Social Work.

Over the course of my career, I have worked with individuals and families along the entire spectrum of mental health. Through positions at Shoal Creek Hospital, Austin State Hospital, SAFE and New York’s Urban Pathways, I have previously provided services to adults impacted by mental illness and mood disorders, trauma and family violence, substance abuse, homelessness and other complex personal issues.

Now, I provide psychotherapy to adults, couples and groups. With active engagement, I help my clients develop and work on personal goals, wade through difficult feelings and experiences, gain insight and self-awareness, and find more authentic connection in life.

In addition to psychotherapy services, I also provide clinical supervision for social workers working toward LCSW licensure and consultation for licensed clinicians. Since 2000, I have been a clinical supervisor for MSW interns at University of Texas, Columbia University and NYU and to free-range social workers seeking clinical licensure. I have also worked closely with other professionals providing clinical consultation in individual, group, and agency settings.

I stay involved with several professional and training organizations including the Austin Group Psychotherapy Society, Austin Psychoanalytic, the American Group Therapy Association, and the Center For Group Studies.
